Phew! It's been a while since the last update, but that's because the most recent project was huge!
The squad of custom Khorne Berserkers is now complete! You'll probably notice some similarity between the new guys and the older squad that was done for the UK Golden Demon some time ago, but this project gave me the opportunity to fix up some of the things that bothered me about the original squad, while keeping the general atmosphere intact.
With this complete, I can now move onto some smaller projects, so you can expect to see more frequent updates over the next little while!
As a final note, the client who commissioned the Berserkers has expressed an interest in cancelling the deal if an alternate buyer can be found for the unit, so if anyone is interested in picking them up at a slight reduction in price, please do get in touch. There are only 2 units remotely like this in the world, and I am currently in possession of both of them, so this could be your chance to get something truly unique, with the added bonus of not even having to wait for them to be complete!

Sammael, Master of the Ravenwing.
It's such a great miniature, but we'll gloss over the awkwardness involved in assembly!

Hello! By finding yourself here you're probably somewhat familiar with my work and who I am already, but in case you aren't, here's a brief introduction.
My name is Richard Magee, and I'm known commonly online as 'Ap0k'. I've been painting miniatures on and off for almost 15 years at the time of writing this, and like to think I've picked up a few things along the way. I've placed in the finalists cabinet on the few occasions I've entered the UK Golden Demon Painting Competition (in '06 and '07, with plans to return in the very near future). No trophies yet, but that's something I plan on changing!
The goal of the Hero Forge is to produce miniatures and terrain at a high level of quality. Quite simply, if it's not something I'd be prepared to use on my own gaming table, or put in my own display cabinet, then it's not something I'd expect a client to do the same with.
And so ends the brief introduction! I'll aim to update the frontpage of the site every couple of days with whatever I've been working on since the last update, so check back regularly!
